A kitchen fit-out built around a new gas cooktop: copper gas pipe run under the house to the kitchen, the cooktop connected and tested, and new sinks and mixers plumbed in at the island and by the window.

We ran new copper gas pipe under the floor, clipped along the bearers and joists, up to the cooktop, connected it and pressure-tested the line for leaks. In the kitchen we fitted the island’s double sink and a round sink with new mixers and wastes.

Key Areas

Gas Line:

New copper gas pipe run under the house to the kitchen, supported along its length and fitted with an isolation valve at the cooktop.

Cooktop:

The new gas cooktop connected, pressure-tested and checked burner by burner, each flame lighting cleanly before handover.

Sinks:

A double sink in the island and a round sink by the window, each with a gooseneck mixer and a new waste, tested for leaks.

Details

Gas Pipework

Copper gas pipe sized for the appliances it feeds, with clean bends and secure clips through the subfloor.

Gas Testing

The new line pressure-tested for leaks, and the cooktop checked on every burner once it was connected.

Tapware

Gooseneck sink mixers fitted firm to the benchtop, on braided hoses to new isolation taps under the sink.

Certification

All gas work done by a licensed gas fitter, with the gas compliance certificate issued on completion.
