Hot water system replacements: old tanks out and new electric and gas storage units installed on level bases, with new valves and insulated pipework, then filled, tested and run up to temperature.

We shut off the supply, drained and removed the old tanks and set the new ones on their bases. Each was connected with new isolation, non-return, relief and tempering valves and insulated pipework, then filled, checked for leaks and run up to temperature.

Key Areas

Electric Units:

Electric storage units replaced on new bases against the house, with the pipework renewed and insulated where it runs outside.

Gas Unit:

An outdoor gas storage unit, connected to the gas supply and leak-tested before it was lit and set to temperature.

Safety Valves:

Tempering, relief and non-return valves on every system, so the taps run at a safe temperature and the tank stays protected.

Placement

Each unit set level on a solid base, with room left around it for servicing.

Valves

Isolation, non-return and pressure-limiting valves on the cold supply, and the relief valve line drained to a safe spot.

Insulation

Hot water lines lagged from the unit into the house, to keep the heat in and protect the pipe outdoors.

Compliance

Every system tested on completion and the compliance paperwork lodged.
